ContractCheck is a web application for AI-assisted contract document analysis using artificial intelligence (Claude AI, developed by Anthropic).

Using ContractCheck implies full acceptance of these terms of service. By using this service, you expressly acknowledge and accept that:

  • This service is provided "AS IS" without any warranty
  • You use this service at your own risk
  • The publisher cannot be held liable for any damages
  • No contractual decision should be made solely based on these analyses

3. Service Description

ContractCheck offers the following services:

  • Contract analysis: AI-assisted interpretation with risk score (0-100)
  • Expert AI Chat: Personalized Q&A about your contracts
  • Risk Detection: Identification of problematic clauses and recommendations
  • Compliance audit: Verification of missing and non-standard clauses
  • PDF Export: Exportable professional reports
  • Voice Analysis: Voice interaction with AI (Chrome, Edge, Safari)

ContractCheck is NOT:

  • A law firm or legal advisory service
  • A certified legal diagnostic tool
  • A substitute for consulting a qualified lawyer
  • A service covered by professional legal insurance

The analyses provided are exclusively for informational and indicative purposes. They do NOT constitute legal advice under any circumstances.

5. Plans and Pricing

Payments are managed by Stripe. All prices include VAT. Prices may be modified with 30 days' email notice.

6. Payment and Subscription

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically
  • The subscription takes effect immediately after payment
  • Users can cancel their subscription at any time via the Stripe customer portal
  • No prorated refund is given for mid-month cancellations

7. User Obligations

The user agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information during registration
  • Keep login credentials confidential
  • Not upload illegal or fraudulent contracts
  • Respect the confidentiality of third parties mentioned in contracts
  • Not attempt to bypass limitations (rate limiting)
  • Not use the service for spam or abuse
  • Not extract or scrape data from the service

8. Intellectual Property

Your documents: You retain all rights to the contracts you upload. We claim no rights to your documents.

The service: ContractCheck, its code, design and analyses are the exclusive property of the publisher and are protected by copyright. Any reproduction, even partial, is prohibited without prior authorization.

9. Limitation and Exclusion of Liability

9.1 Service Provided "AS IS"

The ContractCheck service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to: no warranty of quality, reliability, accuracy of information, fitness for a particular purpose, or continuous availability.

9.2 Exclusion of Liability

The publisher CANNOT under any circumstances be held liable for:

  • Decisions made based on the analyses provided
  • Financial losses related to the use of the service
  • Errors or inaccuracies in AI analyses
  • Direct or indirect damages of any kind
  • Service interruptions (maintenance, outage, force majeure)
  • Acts of third parties (hosting provider, API providers, etc.)

9.3 Liability Cap

The publisher's liability is strictly limited to the amount paid by the user in the last 12 months, with a maximum cap of 100 euros, all causes combined.

10. Termination

By the user: You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Stripe customer portal accessible in your account area.

By ContractCheck: In case of breach of these Terms, the publisher reserves the right to suspend or delete the user account without notice or refund.

11. Changes to Terms

The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified by email of significant changes with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before any legal action.

In accordance with Article L. 612-1 of the Consumer Code, users may use a free mediation service via the platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

In the absence of an amicable resolution, any dispute will be submitted to the competent French courts (Paris Court).
